With the big changes that are happening at Facebook, and the fact that Facebook is the fastest growing site on the Internet, I decided to do a free webinar training on getting started with Facebook. On this webinar, I will give you:
- An Orientation of Facebook and how to move around in it
- the difference between a Fan Page and a Personal Profile
- How to make the most of Facebook without getting lost in it, or wasting a lot of time.
- Plus answer your questions on Facebook live on the call
This webinar is a pre-training for the Website Creation Workshop Online 8 Module program that launches in March (just a few weeks away) and I want to help you get started with Facebook, so you can use it to drive traffic to your WordPress Website. Many people are on Facebook, are you and your business too? Just fill out the form below to get the webinar video replay.
Hi Christina,
I just wanted to make a suggestion. If you helped someone develop a website and they weren’t collecting email addresses, you would advise them to do so, right?
I’m a Kim Dushinski/Dan Hollings mobile student and am advising that you start collecting mobile numbers with a suggestion that if they give you their mobile number, you will send them a text reminder of this important call to their mobile phone 15 minutes (or whatever) before the calls begin so you won’t miss it… Just a suggestion. Building an SMS list is even more important that email – the open rate for mobile is 98% and 85% are opened within 15 mins.
Thanks for listening. Look forward to your teleseminar.
Patty
PS Really enjoyed your last teleseminar…what’s stopping you…it was great.
Patty,
Thanks for that suggestion. I have not yet implemented a mobile text messaging system into my marketing.
One reason for my holdout, is that I would HATE marketing messages to come to me via text. I reserve text for my friends and family.
But I do like the idea of giving an option to people to have a text message sent to them, if they want it. Never thought of it that way before.
🙂
I agree. Because we live in Australia, US webinars are at all times of the night. It would be a great help if a text message was sent 15 minutes before to wake me up from my sleep in front of the TV
Michael,
When you opt in above, you will get taken to the Webinar sign up. Once you sign up, then you will get an email reminder 1 hour before the webinar. Hope that works for you
🙂
Re: Facebook & upcoming teleclass –
I opened a FB page because it seemed that I had delayed it long enough – and I wasn’t getting any clearer about what it did – except that I needed one. And the only way to begin to understand it was to jump in. I befriended people in a class & forum that I was taking at the time and was mortified with the resulting information (of theirs) that ended up on my wall —
the FIRST question is – can we go back and start over?
How do we clean up a page/ wall/ space and make it your own if you’ve already got people you might not want – and how do you let people gently know that you really don’t want their information on your page/wall/whatever?
My SECOND question is: can you have a Personal FB for friends and family and goofy stuff they post AND a Professional FB page that keeps the two separate so you don’t have any embarrassing family messages to explain?
Erin,
you can always delete any comments that appear on your wall. Just look for the little ‘X’ on the right hand side of a comment.
Just delete it.
For your second question: keep your profile for personal FB friends and family, and use your Professional FB page for your business.
That is the direction I’m moving in, and will be migrating many of my ‘friends’ over to my Fan Page here:

Hi Christina,
In my opinion, I think most people do get e-mail on their phones and that is good enough:) You are right, I wouldn’t like a text. Yes, reserved for friends and family.
Looking forward to this webinar. I love the reminder you send out beforehand.
Thanks for all you do to help us,
Sheryl
Sheryl,
yes, text messages are very intimate. Not something where I want to be marketed at.
However, I do like getting reminders from Airlines on my flight.
But that’s about it from companies.
