Description: The Website Creation Workshop is an online course that takes you through the process of creating your own website without a webmaster. Using the WordPress software, you will learn how to create a blog or a website that is easy to update, great for search engines, and does NOT require webmaster skills. You’ll learn by doing hands-on assignments in your own “student project” – a WordPress website, pre-installed just for you.

Q: What do I need to get started?
A: Nothing! The course will provide you with a “Student Project” – a WordPress website pre-installed for you – where you can practice everything you are learning. You will need a desktop or laptop computer, an Internet connection, and the ability to receive email.
Q: Can I convert my existing website to WordPress.org or do I need to start from scratch?
A: You can convert your existing website, but we do recommend you keep your current website up and running while your new website is being completed.
Many students decide to start a new website from scratch, but if you decide to convert your current site to WordPress.org, be aware that switching from non-WordPress to WordPress.org can affect rankings – in the short term. Over the medium term, they should actually improve. If you have hired out expensive SEO you may need to hire a consultant to remap that for you. Most of our students don’t do that; they just rebuild their site with WordPress.org using the same domain name so the site will always be found.
Website Marketing Workshop (Intermediate Course)
What? – The Website Marketing Workshop is an online training program for people who already have a WordPress website and know the basics of creating pages and posts. It’s a place for people to take their WordPress website(s) to the next level and learn how to market their website(s).

Q: What do I need to get started?
A: You will need a desktop or laptop computer, an Internet connection, and the ability to receive email. To start in the intermediate course, you also need a self-hosted WordPress.org website and knowledge of WordPress.

Q: I can’t opt in for the free report/webinar and/or the page isn’t working. What should I do?
A: If you’re having trouble opting into a page on our site, or if the page seems like it’s jammed or frozen, then try using another browser such as Chrome or Safari. If it is not accepting your email address, please use a different one.
Q: Do I have to take the Website Creation Workshop in order to take the Website Marketing Workshop?
A: No, you do not have to.
Q: I see you’ve done free webinars. Do you give replays for them?
A: Most of the time we do but sometimes we don’t. Just keep an eye on your email.
Q: What is the guarantee?
A: Each program has a different guarantee. Please look at the program enrollment page for the guarantee.
Q: What version of WordPress will we be using?
A: Christina teaches the course using the open-source WordPress.org and the latest version available.
Q: When I create a website in your program using your practice website, who owns the content?
A: If you use any content, images, videos, etc. from a 3rd party source, whoever created it retains the rights. If you create your own content on your practice site, you own it. We do not claim ownership of any content on the practice site.
Q: Can I take the course from either a Mac or a PC?
A: Yes, both Mac users and PC users can take the course and access all the information in the members’ training area.
Q: What is the difference between creating a website on Kajabi and with your course?
A: Our Website Creation Workshop course will teach you step-by-step how to build a WordPress website from scratch. This beginners’ course will empower you with web-building skills by starting with the basics of creating pages and posts, choosing a theme, and adding content. You’ll finish the course with a great website that you can update yourself. Kajabi is its own platform and a website is part of that platform. We are not familiar with Kajabi or what it offers.
Q: Do I need to have a PC to build a WordPress Website?
A: No. You can use a PC or a Mac to build a WordPress Website.
Q: You are doing a Webinar. How do I register for it?
A: You will want to get registered for the webinar ahead of time so you will receive the email reminders.
