How to Have Christmas Lights or Holiday Snow on Your Website

If you have a WordPress website, then you probably know how easy WordPress makes it to add things to it. Why not take advantage of that feature, and add some holiday flair to your website during this season? Well I got 2 super easy things for you to add now to spice up your site!

While there are many free plugins and online tools you can use to decorate your website for the holidays. Here are a couple that I’ve used and loved:

Hang Christmas Lights on your WordPress Site

This little plugin adds a string of animated Christmas lights at the top of a website. All you have to do is to install this plugin… No other setups are needed; you’ll instantly get a holiday look!

Have it Snow on Your WordPress Site

Let it snow on your WordPress site! With this plugin, you can easily add the snow of various sizes and shapes. It also allows you to change the size, speed, transparency, etc. of the snow.

Different shades of these big snow flakes can help “winterize” your website!

Depending on your website design, the above plugins might not work well, but there are many more available in WordPress plugin area (https://wordpress.org/plugins/) that you can experiment with. (As usual, make sure to do your own due diligence before using any plugin to ensure the compatibility with your website, etc.)

Hi Christina! I recently started following you. Love your easy tips and the Christmas lights look great! Do you have info on how to change WordPress templates? Is it hard or easy? Are there things to keep in mind such as plugins? Thanks for all you do!

“Your course was very thorough and provided so much content, but in a very organized and feasible way.”

I came to this course for 3 reasons.

1) I paid an exorbitant sum for what I expected to be a top quality website. It was never completed properly and used Block Editor so I could not make changes myself. It also used a pricey paid theme that I felt was used simply because the web designer was trained only in that theme. This company’s server was hacked and they did not realize for 2 months! Only realized they could not fix this and would have to start from scratch after another 2 months!! And then they kept making other mistakes like using an email they made up instead of my real email address for the contact page. After my site being down for 6 months a mere 3 months after it went up, I wanted to fix my site right, by myself.

2) I would like to give online courses and create a new website for that.

3) I have a blog site that needed better security from people trying to put spam in the comments. Your course was very thorough and provided so much content, but in a very organized and feasible way, when it could have easily been overwhelming. I may not be your picture of a success story since the work you saw was a conglomeration of my different sites, but I was able to apply everything you taught, even moving my site myself to a new holding site.
