‘Tis the holiday season for you to add some holiday graphics to your website!

Have you noticed how driving around town is a bit more enjoyable during the holidays? Festive lights twinkle and the sound of holiday music soothes our ears. Seasonal decorations brighten homes and storefronts. Shoppers bustle in and out of stores, searching for the perfect gift for their loved ones.

Did you know that holiday decorations make customers feel warm and cheerful? Shoppers are more likely to walk into a store that’s decorated, and stay for longer! Maybe you don’t have a retail shop or business office to decorate. Don’t let that stop you from bringing a little holiday cheer to your customers too! Even if you operate solely online, like my business.

One of my favorite holiday traditions is to add holiday decor to my website. It’s just a little way I can spread my holiday cheer to everyone who visits my site. With WordPress and some free graphics or plugins, it’s really fun.

So, share some holiday joy on your website, social media, or emails! I’ve got some great ideas for you.

Free Holiday Graphics

Spice up your website with a cozy or fun holiday image that catches your visitor’s eye. You can easily find quite a few holiday graphics by going to stock photo sites. Here are a few sites that offer a variety of free holiday stock photos.

WordPress Holiday Plugins

And with WordPress, there are various plugins that instantly give your website a holiday, wintry look. Here are two I picked out.

WP Snow Effect Holiday Plugin

“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…” Bring virtual snow to your website with this simple plugin. You can change the speed, size, and number of snowflakes, too.

Weather Effect – Christmas effect, Snow Effect, and More

With this plugin, you can have various images fall across your website, including holiday-themed images (snowflakes, candy, Christmas bells, and more). Adjust your falling objects depending on the season or holiday!
