You’ve probably heard that Gmail has been rolling out some new features. They’re starting to automatically filter your email messages into Primary, Social,  Promotions,  Updates, and Forums– without you doing anything.

Because of the way Gmail is filtering emails, my emails will most likely end up being in the “Promotions” area, which you can easily miss.

However, there is an easy fix! Here is the step-by-step instruction:

  1. In your Gmail, click on the Promotions tab.
  2. Find an email from Christina Hills (you can also do a search and pull up any email from me).  Simply select one of the emails from Christina Hills and click and drag it to the top of the Primary tab.
  3. Click “Yes” when you see the message “Do this for all future messages” pop up. (you only need to do this once)

Once it’s done, all emails coming from me will end up being in your Primary inbox, so you won’t miss any important tips, updates, or invitations to free training webinars.

For you reference here  is a description of the different Gmail Categories that the tabs now show up in:

If you use Gmail for your email, then go try this out, move my emails to your Primary Inbox tab.  I happen to LOVE this new way of filtering and am finding it much easier to find the emails I want to view now.  Check it out  and leave any comments below…
