Mother’s Day is one of my favorite days of all, because it’s a day where I honor my mother, and I too get honored by my daughter. Mother’s Day is celebrated all around the world, but does not always fall on the same day for all countries. It is sometimes called “Mothering Sunday” and was first celebrated in 1908 by a woman named: Anna Jarvis who wanted to memorialize her mother.
Anna Jarvis was later able to get “Mother’s Day” to become a recognized Holiday in the US in 1914. And after that point, many other countries adopted this tradition. Yes, you are right, this blog post really doe not have anything to do about WordPress, I just wanted to share in my celebration with you!
