I’m back from my trip to Europe, and wanted to share some pictures with you. During my vacation, I was able to spend lots of time with my family while being totally immersed in European culture and history. It’s so important to give yourself a break from your work, even if you LOVE your work, you brain needs a break. That sure was an invaluable experience…, something I know I will be revisiting in my mind again and again. Simply priceless.
I visited Berlin, Germany and Paris, France (with a stop in Giverney France). Below are pictures from the trip, click on each picture to see a larger view.

Being an entrepreneur allows me freedom to do things that really matter to me, and being able to travel the world with my family is definitely one of them. Having a special time like this also helps me feel refreshed and be ready for my next Website Creation Workshop class! Love my life as an entrepreneur!
I arranged these pictures in WordPress using the Gallery Feature of WordPress. It’s not a plugin, but a built in feature that helps you arrange pictures in columns. Click on each picture for a larger view.

Hello Christine, I am from Europe, Lisbon, Portugal, – how come you didn’t visit the garden planted by the sea (as they call Portugal sometimes…!lol)I believe you had a wonderful time in Europe, such a beautiful classy historic continent!!! I have visited many countries and cities there too, i hope you go back there to see more, I still want to go too, and am in the USA only for 4 straight years now. Congrats for your journey:!!:! And thanks for posting the pics.
Rita,
Oh I would have loved to go to Portugal! But my time in Europe was so short, and I was traveling with my family and their agendas (you know how that goes!)
😉
yes, I know what you mean:) Anyways a trip to Europe no matter how short is always fantastic!:)
Hi Rita,
It is nice to find a fellow Portuguese also from Lisbon!
I have to say that I was excited to see the photo of the WordPress theme twenty eleven with the yellow electric car in Lisbon!
I hope you are enjoying the trainning as much as I am! Best,
Joana
Hi Christina,
I am so glad that you had such a good time in Paris, Giverney and Berlin in my two home countries France (from my mother’s side) and Germany (from my father’s side).
I spent many, many occasions in Giverney during the fifties and sixties when I lived in France for the simple reason that Monet is my favourite French impressionist.
Jean-Paul,
I don’t know German, but I do know a little French, as I speak Italian fluently. It was so much fun to have my french come back! Love both countries! And I really love Giverney. Monet is one of my favorites
Looks like a great time. I’m going on the school trip this year with my son’s school to France and England. Looks like it’s going to be a great time. Love that cafe in Paris shot.
Paul,
I didn’t make it to England this time, but I know you will have a great time! The cafe’s in Europe are so much fun. Europeans know how to live!
Hi, Christina! Terrific shots of your R & R in Europe. You have a beautiful family and I’m sure they’re just as charming as you.
Looking forward to getting back into my project after our daughter’s wedding this Saturday. It’s all coming together, project and wedding.
Catch you later.
Rich
Rich,
I look forward to seeing the project you are working on! And when you can, get yourself a gravatar.com account. Then I’ll be able to see your pic
Lovely pictures! So glad the Lord blessed you with this time of refreshment.
Janice,
R&R is very important for everyone! I feel very blessed
Beautiful pictures Christina… how fun! Thank you for sharing with us, and also for letting us know how you got the pictures into WordPress.
Cynthia,
Yes I don’t normally use the Gallery Feature, but with this newest version of WordPress it’s so easy!
🙂
Christina,
I love your pictures from Europe. I can hardly wait to go in 2 years. Anyway, I also love the way you were able to arrange them in Gallery Feature of WordPress. Therefore, can you please tell me where I find it in my dashboard? I’ve never seen it anywhere. I think I’ve heard you say that you use another theme other than Thesis, which is what I use. Would it be available in my theme, too and if so where would I find it although I am just getting started with a blog.
Thanks,
Rose
Hi Christina,
I love your pictures! It brings back fun memories for me of visiting both West Berlin (and East Berlin) in 1977 before the wall came down. I haven’t been to Paris yet, so it was really fun to see your pictures! C”est magnifique! (Magnificent!)
Thanks for sharing,
Bridget
Hi Christina,
Thank you for sharing your photos!!! It is great seeing them!
I will be visiting Paris on Christmas on my way to Lisbon, Portugal where I’m from. Seeing your photos makes me even more eager to go! I really like your photos of the Monet gardens, but I think they may not be as colorful in December…
Best,
Joana
Joana,
We got a subway pass in Paris and never used it because we walked so much. Depending upon where your hotel is, you may not need one. Notre Dame is REALLY worth going to!
Yes I don’t know how the Monet gardens would be in December. But I’m sure it would be very peaceful 🙂
Christina,
Love…Love…Love the pictures you shared. The pic of you and Maggie is priceless! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Pat,
Thanks!
Christina,
Thank you for sharing your European pictures…it was fun visiting vicariously, for the moment. I really appreciate your Website Creation Workshop, too! It’s giving me the ability to eat the elephant (website building) one bite at a time.
Frances G.
Frances,
It’s the ONLY way to eat an elephant! Glad you are liking the program!
Christina!
Great pictures. I’ll be going to Europe for the first time in a few weeks. Italy here I come.
I like how you posted the pics to your blog, giving ideas for my blog. Looks like you had a good time.
Thank you for sharing!
Deb
Deb,
Yes I’m sending out a new video today to all the students of the Website Creation Workshop on how I created that gallery. Look for that in your email.
And I LOVE Italy!! It’s my favorite of all European countries 🙂
Wonderful pictures. You must have had a blast in Europe. My son just got back from Italy on a study abroad program. He also crossed over to Paris, France for one week. He came back with amazing pictures too. I hope to undertake such a travel when I GROW …..up.
Welcome back.
Ike,
You NEED to go! I studied in Italy during college and it was one of the best experiences of my life!
Wonderful pictures! Thanks so much for sharing them! I loved the
Shots of France. I fell in Love with that country when I was 18 and
a summer exchange student in Brittany…St Malo specifically.
It is the most wonderful country. Loved the shots of Germany, too.
Many blessings….
Mary,
Yes France is SOOO beautiful!
Thanks for sharing your trip photos! .. nice picture layout in columns. You remind me that entrepreneurs do need vacations too, 🙂 I am due for one.
Nicole,
Yes the WordPress Gallery feature makes this really easy to do!
and yes, go take a vacation while we still have August 😀
Christina, noticed these as I was sifting through old posts. Just got back from Italy in late May – we had a lovely time.
Let’s think about traveling more when our girls are older!
