Social media is a great way to market your business, especially if you are active on the platforms your audience already uses. For many small business owners and entrepreneurs, Facebook is still one of the first places people go to look you up and learn more about what you do.
That’s why it is important to make the most of your Facebook Profile! One of the simplest ways to do that is by adding your website URL to your “About” tab. In this article, I’ll walk you through exactly how to add your website URLs to the “About” tab on your personal Facebook Profile so you can get more visitors to your website.
Note: This is NOT a tip about Fan Pages/Business Pages or expensive Facebook Ads. This is about your personal profile on Facebook. It’s free for you to do!
Add Your Website URLs to your Facebook “About” Tab
Many people “hang out” on Facebook, and if someone wants to know more about you, the FIRST thing they do is search for you and then go to your “About” Tab. So don’t miss this easy opportunity to share more about who you are and what you do.
See an example from my Facebook profile below:

Simple Steps to Add Your Websites to Your Facebook Profile:
1) Go to Facebook –>
2) Click on your About Tab –>
3) On the Left, click on the “Contact and basic info”.
4) Then, on the right, click the Pencil Icon to edit it. (see below)

5) Once inside your Contact and Basic info, click on the “Add a Website” button, or click to edit existing websites (see below)

6) When you are finished, click on “Save Changes,” and you are done!
Final Thoughts…
Facebook isn’t only a place to interact with your friends. It’s also a place where people go to SEARCH for people! (When I’m looking for someone, I go to Facebook first, and then Google) So make it easy for folks to find you!
Take a couple of minutes to update your profile today, then send me your Facebook link so I can check it out. Leave a comment below and let me know how it worked for you.

Your tip came just as I began building my fan page. Sometimes I know where to put something but not entirely ‘why’ and ‘how’. Your tips are always very helpful for knowing that.
