They put these “ghosts” there, hidden, waiting for later use in possible coordinated attacks against major websites.
The Ghosts Hiding Inside Your WordPress Website
There could be ghosts inside your WordPress site right now, too. But you’ll never know if you don’t know what and where to look.
Until it’s too late…. See this quick short video below
Thanks for the headsup and for the short video, Christina. Love the spooky ghost metaphor that we can associate with Halloween. Thank you!
Thanks for the video tip … ghosts checked … not in my websites …fiuuuu!
Happy Halloween!
No ghosts, but I did find the need to do 1 update. That’s been done. Thanks for sharing this important piece of info with us.
Thanks for the tips, Christina! I’m quite new on the website front and still learning so this was eye opening. I am a bit obsessive when it comes to updating, I just hate seeing that red circle with a number it’s like unfinished business. I never thought to check the users. Thankfully, all is well, but nice to know it’s a simple way to keep an eye on things.
Updated! Thanks Christina!
