Just yesterday, WordPress 3.9.2 was released. This was so called a “security release” to address some security issues with the previous versions.

This particular release includes 5 changes to make WordPress sites more secure, and if you want all the technical details you can read it  here from WordPress.org.

WordPress folks constantly pay close attention to possible problems with WordPress and come out with new security and maintenance releases to fix them. So, it’s very important for us users to keep our WordPress sites up to date as these new releases become available. (For more information read this blog post on automatic updates)

Website security is no longer an option. When you have a business to run, a hacked website is the last thing you want to deal with… So it’s a good idea to make your website as secure as possible to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Since this is a topic that seems to be on everybody’s mind these days, I’ll be hosting a webinar for my Website Creation Workshop Club next week on one of the most popular WordPress security plugins, Wordfence Security.
