There are many different ways to make money from your WordPress website. You don’t have to create your own products to monetize your site. While at BlogWorld in Las Vegas, I met Darren Rowse from ProBlogger.net and he shared with us a great mind map on ways to make money from your blog. I love this mind map, because it visually demonstrates what I teach in the Website Creation Workshop: There are MANY ways to make money with a Website! Here is the image Darren Rose gave me permission to use: (You will see references to ‘blogs’, but you don’t need to consider your website a blog at all. You can use WordPress to build a regular site as well as a blog.)

Thanks for sharing Christina. As a business owner these are very helpful to see and I find it is extremely important to focus on one or two at the time.
Lisa,
Yes we often overlook the multiple ways to make money with our websites. Focus on one or two at a time is right, but knowing that there are more ways, is very exciting.
Multiple streams of income is a good goal
🙂
Wonderful post! The mind map really lays out all of the options really well. Thank you for sharing.

I love the mind map! So very helpful. I am loving your Shopping Cart Secrets ecourse to learn how to use the shopping cart for virtual products and services. Then on to other additional streams of income! Thanks for your clarity and assistance in unraveling the mysterious complexities of the shopping cart!
Sandy,
thanks for sharing about my http://www.ShoppingCartSecrets.com course that teaches Shopping Cart Setup. I’m revamping the FastTrack version of that now!
Watch your email for a notification when that’s done
Christina,
Great resource. Thanks for sharing. It is valuable. (And BTW, you may want to check the spelling on Darren’s last name.)
Thanks.
Todd,
Yes, Darren Rowse is one of the most famous bloggers around.
And thanks for catching that typo! 😉
Christina- Lovely! I shared on my FB page.
GREAT graphic Christina!! Thanks for sharing this!
Heather,
yes I love visuals too!
Great mind map and thanks for sharing. It makes it clear how we often limit ourselves to a fraction of the opportunities that could be used to make money from our websites.
WordPress can be so much more than “just a blog”. With all the plugins available you can do almost anything with a WordPress blog now.
Dawn,
that’s why I love teaching WordPress in my Website Creation Workshop, it’s so much more than a ‘blog’!
Thanks Christina for sharing and Darren for graciously gifting us all here!
I love the color coding Christina and Darren!! I started using a mind map, but haven’t added to it in a while, so I think I will now that you’ve inspired me with the structure of this one as well. Thank you again for some great info 😀
Anna,
I have been playing around with flow charts and mind maps, and I think that having the visual with the color coding makes learning much easier
Thanks Christina and Darren.
Tiffayn, don’t you love how visual this image is!
Yep, you know how visual I am. It’s stirring my creativity. Thanks for sharing what you learned at Blogworld.
Excellent! I love using mind maps to map out projects, courses I teach and for organizing ideas too. Seeing other people’s mind maps like Darren’s spawns even MORE ideas. For me, the visual aspect is so much more creative than a plain jane list. Thanks for sharing this with us, Christina (and Darren!).
Debra,
Mind maps and flow charts give all of us a visual representation and that makes it easier for us to grasp
new concepts.
Dear Christianah
I wonder whether all this will work in a developing country like Nigeria. The density of internet users is very low
Olayinka,
If you have an internet connection, you can market to people outside of Nigeria. The world is your oyster.
😉
Hi Christina,
I have been doing blog marketing some of your mentioned major ways but I learned some more new ways to make money in blogging. It is useful info.
Eager to learn more.
R. Manimaran

Thank you!
Kathryn
Kathryn,
What I like about this pretty image, is it makes it simple to follow. And then my text below for making money with your website, can become a checklist
🙂
Everyone loves a mind map!
Fiona,
Have you used http://www.buble.us for mind mapping?
I’m starting to use that one myself it’s free
Great visual – thank you for sharing this.
Melodie,
Yes, visuals are the way to go with thinking through a concept or making decisions
A fellow Aussie! Darren is awesome – we love him here in Australia and were super pumped to hear about his role at Blogworld this year.
Thanks for sharing the image, Christina. Great visual. Tt clearly iliustrates that someone with the driven ambition, amd imagination can earn a living.
Hello,
I visited your site today, and found
myself admiring the clarity of your site message.
Sadly, nowadays generating revenueonline is more and more difficult, but not impossible. It’s not enough to montetize your website by adding ads or affiliate deals on it with eye catching banners. . I think the key is in the promotion, if you can make your site sought after, you can make more sales.
Keith,
I also think a big part of it is creating authentic relationships with people. Relationships lead to sales
