When you build a website in WordPress, one of the things that you need to do in an early stage is to select a theme. But if you are new to WordPress, going through these themes and evaluate them can be easily overwhelming! How do you know what to look for in a theme and decide if it’s right for your website?
That’s what I’ll be talking about at the upcoming WordCamp Los Angeles 2016.
If you are not super familiar with WordPress, a theme provides the look and feel of a website. Many themes also come bundled with various useful and nifty functions. By using a theme that has the right components/functions for what you need for your website, you could build your WordPress website very quickly and easily.
Picking a WordPress theme is a lot of fun. As of the writing of this article, there are over 4,000 free WordPress themes available in at WordPress.org, and there are even more premium themes sold by independent WordPress theme companies and via marketplaces (services that WordPress developers/designers use to sell their original themes, plugins, and more).
