Can it help? Absolutely! I use AI almost every day, and it’s an incredible productivity tool. But it can’t launch a website for you with just a few prompts.
What AI Can Help You With
While AI can’t build your website for you, it can be a valuable assistant throughout the process. It can help you brainstorm your website structure, write a first draft of your pages or blog posts, and create or edit images and graphics. AI can help you optimize your FAQ page for searches. There are many ways to use AI in your business.
It can save you time, help you overcome writer’s block, and make creating your website feel much less overwhelming. However, AI won’t replace your creativity, experience, or knowledge of your business. Think of AI as a type of virtual assistant that can speed up some of the grunt work – while you focus on the important things in your business.
What AI Can’t Do
1) AI Can’t Build a Complete WordPress Website
AI can generate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, but that isn’t the same as creating a complete WordPress website.
Most AI-generated websites are static HTML pages. A static website is made of fixed pages that have to be edited manually whenever you want to make changes. If you want to update your contact information, services page, or publish a blog post, you’ll need to edit the code and upload the files again. This is a very techie process and completely unnecessary.
When your website is built with WordPress, you simply log into your dashboard and update your content whenever you want.
2) AI Can’t Launch Your Website
Creating a website is only part of the process. Before anyone can visit your site, it has to be set up correctly. There are certain steps that you have to do – buy a domain name, research hosting plans and select one, set your DNS, set up your SSL security, etc. And this is before you even start creating your WordPress website.
AI cannot do these things – they require human involvement.
3) AI Can’t Make Good Business Decisions
A website isn’t just a collection of pages. It’s your most important marketing tool for helping your business grow.
AI doesn’t know your target customers, your goals, or what makes your business unique. It can’t decide which services to promote, what call to action will encourage visitors to contact you, or how to organize your content in a way that best serves your audience.
Those decisions come from you. AI can help you write, brainstorm, and improve your ideas, but your experience and knowledge are what make your website truly effective.

Your Website Still Needs You
Remember, your website should reflect your personality, your experience, and the unique value you bring to your customers. It should answer the questions your ideal clients are asking and encourage them to take the next step. AI can help you create that content faster, but it can’t replace your knowledge or your relationship with your audience.
If you let AI do all of that work, you won’t be successful in making a true connection with your audience.
